Elaine Moore -

Elaine Moore is a Development Worker with Northlands Drugs and Alcohol Project based in HMP Magilligan.   Born in Londonderry, she acquired a Masters in Medical Science in Addiction Studies in 1997 and also holds a BA Honours Degree in Youth and Community Work from the University of Ulster.   She has a Post Graduate Diploma in Guidance and Counselling and is a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. 

Elaine started her career as a detached youth worker in Liverpool and subsequently worked in a rehabilitation unit in Belize before working for the Northern Board on the 'tackling drugs together' initiative.  Her work has mainly been in the voluntary sector focusing on community development and working with drug and alcohol users in a number of different settings.
