Co-chairs of the Group, Lord Eames and Denis Bradley, have welcomed news that Mr. Martti Ahtisaari has been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
In paying tribute to Mr. Ahtisaari, who acts as an international adviser to the Group, they said, “We are delighted that our colleague has been awarded this prestigious honour. This is hugely deserved for his work, not just in Northern Ireland, but throughout the world.
“Martti’s experience and advice have been invaluable to us in finding a way to deal with the legacy of Northern Ireland’s troubled past.”
